Day 5

Day 5

January 25th, 2013
We have looked at the “why” of our authority, and found God, our Abba/Father, always intended His creation (man) to rule and govern over His created world. When you read Genesis 1:26-28, it states for man to rule and have dominion. Those words speak of “to subdue, to cause to rule, to rule, to dominate, to reign or take possession of.”

If you think about it, this should come as no surpris e to any of us that we should rule and reign in life, because by Jesus’ blood, we are now descended from the King of kings, the Lord, of lords, and Creator of heaven and Earth. Understanding this, we must also understand that for us to rule, we would have to be given the authority from God to do so. If God had not given to us this authority, we could not rule or reign. You see, to rule and reign is to have the right to do so. That is what our authority is; our right to rule and reign. And our right to reign in life had been given to us from the beginning by God, and won back for us by Jesus. So complete and final was the authority God gave to man, Adam had the right to give it to Satan, which happened when Adam sinned in the garden. However, so complete and final was Jesus’ finished work of redemption for us on the cross, He gave all our right to rule and reign in life back to each of us! Hallelujah! Which is why Jesus said, in Matthew 28:18-19 “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations….” So, let’s GO! He’s talking to each of us. He wants us to rule and reign in our own, personal, world, and to come together with all His children, to reign in the world around us. North America, South America, Africa, Asia. We are called to “make disciples of all nations…” and "Go everywhere in the world, and tell the Good News to everyone” (Mark 16: 15). And what wonderful, awesome, Good News we have to tell about our wonderful Jesus! Amen!
