Monica Deller founded Bridge of Hope Ministries International in 1998 to help the homeless with clothes and blankets and to help other organizations fill containers by collecting items but soon decided to fill and ship their own BOHMI containers. In 2005 Bridge of Hope Ministries Philippines was registered and incorporated which now has 23 churches, 20 Bible students in the Bible School and a farm and many outreaches. In 2006 (after spending over 30 years as a foster parent with over 60 kids going through her home) Monica felt led to expand the ministry from filling and shipping containers and raising finances for the Philippine ministry also helping the local homeless with clothes and blankets to move in a new area and develop something that she saw was much needed. With a crisis in North America with our nation's divorce rate, soaring single parent families, economic times, child/youth runaways, and child/youth suicides, there is strong evidence that as a nation, our children are desperately in need of moral and spiritual values; so Hope Ranches was born to reach into lives of children/ youth at-risk and fractured families. Children and youth from all races and cultures face increasing obstacles on the road to adulthood in the 21 century.
Monica is working to see the vision become a reality. Monica has worked three years on a two year residential program on a working ranch to reach kids in crisis and fractured families. Also at the heart of the city to build an outreach center complete with a church where the simplicity of the gospel can be taught, where people are led from tradition to truth. Day programs where they can be equipped and empowered to move forward into transformed victorious living. We at Bridge of Hope Ministries envision people’s lives being restored, renewed, and transformed to move forward into victorious living.
