Phil. 1:21-22 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour...

If anyone put her heart and soul into Bridge of Hope, it was Nana, my mother. Nana, along with donating personal finances, spent plenty of time collecting stuffies for the orphans, having dresses made, making and having others crochet blankets. She always came to volunteer in our Depot, now matter what was going on in her life. When she was going through chemo she collected 400 stuffies for the aids/HIV orphans and would have my brother Paul drive her two hours each way to come and help. She was always there bringing that last load the day we were shipping the container. She would talk to businesses and ask them for donations. She would get cases of toothpaste, hotel soaps, educational supplies, and hygiene products. She would buy shoes, footballs, soccer balls, skipping ropes, frisbees, etc. Nana was always thinking of the kids. She loved the orphans and often said they were "Her kids".
Mom was a giver, all the kids that knew her called her Nana, even in the end when she was so sick she still gave. She set a foundation and precedence for this ministry to build upon. You are greatly missed, but we know you are enjoying your reward.
Love & Miss you Mom,
Monica
